This Cleveland Browns 2022 Mock Draft features the Browns upgrading the trenches and finding a true separator at wide receiver.

The Cleveland Browns have had a rocky start to the 2021 season. They’ve taken care of business when necessary, but good teams have given them trouble, most notably the Chargers and Cardinals. Now, after a tough 15-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns are sitting at 4-4 with questions on both sides of the ball.

Baker Mayfield is playing hurt right now, but he’s been a bit off this season. He’s missing some throws this year and is struggling a bit from the pocket. However, his receivers haven’t helped him either. Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. haven’t been on the same page this season, and Jarvis Landry has made some mistakes as well. It might be time for some change at the position, as there’s some youth waiting in the wings. Their defense has some young studs, but they’re giving up big plays at a high rate.

Cleveland Browns Mock Draft

In this Cleveland Browns mock draft, the Browns get a true separator at receiver, and upgrade the trenches, which need some help with the plethora of players set to be free agents. Off we go!

Round 1, 18th Overall: David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

Okay, so this one might be a little crazy for some. The Browns have consistently been mocked receiver so far in the first round, but there’s a chance they go for a more premium position instead. Edge rusher could be one to watch for them, as Jadeveon Clowney and Takk McKinley could both move on in 2022.

David Ojabo is quickly gaining steam as one of the top pass rushers in the second tier for the 2022 NFL Draft. He’s only been playing football for five seasons, but his tools are super intriguing. His athleticism is impressive and he can threaten the outside track as well as work in an inside move. His get off is impressive and he has incredible range, quickness, and flexibility to defend the run, even to the perimeter. His best football is ahead of him and he’s got an extremely high ceiling.
