Scouting Report. CB. 19. player. 60. Pick Analysis. Washington. Trent McDuffie

19. Minnesota Vikings: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

The Vikings are already pretty weak at corner, and on top of that Patrick Peterson’s only on a one year deal, so it’d be smart of them to capitalize on a cornerback class that is very strong. They do so in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

When evaluating corners going from college to the NFL, it’s important that the player has proven to be consistent in coverage and Trent McDuffie has done just that. He also is a very good tackler in open space, which is a plus. In all three of his seasons so far, McDuffie has received an 80+ grade on PFF, which is very impressive.

George Karlaftis. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Edge. Purdue. 20. 53

20. Cleveland Browns: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

With Jadeveon Clowney on just a one year deal, the Browns could find themselves with a need for an edge rusher come draft time, so George Karlaftis makes sense for them in this 2022 NFL mock draft.

Karlaftis is very projectable as a power rusher as he’s got good size with long arms and can win his pass rushes with strength and power. Karlaftis raised eyebrows his freshman season as he registered eight sacks and this season he has gotten to the quarterback with consistency this season as he has 32 pressures in seven games.

Cincinnati. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ahmad Gardner. 21. 16. CB

21. Buffalo Bills: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

The Bills have one of the best players in the league in Tre’Davious White, however, it’s essential to have multiple good corners in today’s NFL, especially in a conference that is loaded with good, young quarterbacks.

Ahmad Gardner is one of the key players on a Bearcats defense that is one of the nation’s best.  He’s really proved himself ever since his freshman year as he’s always been very consistent in coverage and has racked up eight interceptions and 15 pass breakups.
