The Eagles, Falcons, and Steelers all get quarterbacks in the first round of this 3-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

It’s been a wild NFL season and college football season so far. Figuring out who the four playoff teams will be is just as difficult as figuring out who the best team in the AFC is. Plenty of contenders are getting into form, and some are surprising us, like the Bengals and Titans. The Chiefs are faltering, but the good news is that the NFC has stayed pretty chalk throughout.

College prospects are making moves and some have really raised their stock to this point. Others, most notably from the quarterback class, have really fallen off the past couple of weeks. There’s plenty of season to go in both regards, and it’s going to be fun the whole way. Let’s kick off another great week with three rounds of a 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Sit back, drink some coffee, or a pumpkin spice latte if that’s your speed, and enjoy three rounds of madness!

2022 NFL Mock Draft: 3-Round Projections

Note: This mock draft was completed using Tankathon’s Full Draft Order and the NFL Mock Draft Database Simulator.

1. Detroit Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

The Detroit Lions are in a full rebuild at 0-7, but it’s hard to imagine them reaching for a quarterback this early in the draft. It makes sense to find a franchise-changer with the top pick, and that’s what you get with Kayvon Thibodeaux. Thibodeaux lit it up Saturday against UCLA, and his athleticism, hand usage, and get off will make for a future elite NFL rusher.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIA): Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

The Eagles are littered with picks in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, but the first of these selections address the secondary. Darius Slay is playing well, but he won’t be the top guy forever. Derek Stingley Jr. could be the next shutdown corner in the NFL with his ball skills, instincts, and transitional quickness.

3. Houston Texans: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

This will be a difficult decision at the top for the Texans as well, as quarterback is of course a direction worth looking at. However, this roster needs an influx of top talent, and that’s what Kyle Hamilton brings. He’s a do-it-all safety with the range and closing speed to play on the roof of the defense, and also can play in the box and in man coverage.

4. New York Jets: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

The New York Jets are also loaded with selections in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and like the Eagles, they dive into the insanely talented 2022 NFL Draft cornerback class. Andrew Booth could challenge for CB1 with his unreal ball skills, elite transitions, and his willingness to mix it up in the run game. Booth can be the guy Robert Saleh’s defense needs.
