31. Baltimore Ravens: Ahmad Gardner, Cornerback, Cincinnati

It has been amazing that the Baltimore Ravens have put together a 4-1 start and change their offensive philosophy with all the major injuries they suffered before the season. They lost their top three running backs to begin the year and former Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters. Also, left tackle Ronnie Stanley and quarterback Lamar Jackson have been banged up this season. If Baltimore makes the playoffs this year John Harbaugh should be considered a favorite to win Coach of the Year.

This upcoming offseason the Ravens are going to have to pay Lamar Jackson. Once they pay Jackson Baltimore will need to get cheaper at other positions. One player they could trade this offseason is the injured Marcus Peters. If they trade Peters they will free $10 million in cap space. Then the Ravens would need another cornerback to lineup opposite Marlon Humphrey and that could be an upgrade over Anthony Averett.

Ahmad Gardner could be a top-10 pick if he played for a bigger program, and he’s the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. He is a lockdown cornerback who has yet to allow a touchdown throughout his college football career.

This would be a perfect landing spot for Gardner because he would play well right away for the Ravens fill the void left by Peters and also could develop into a Pro Bowl-caliber cornerback by this outstanding Ravens coaching staff.
