30. Dallas Cowboys: Myjai Sanders, Edge Rusher, Cincinnati

The Dallas Cowboys look well-rounded for the first time in a long time. Not only are they balancing their offense between the passing and running games. They also are playing well on defense this year. New defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has brought life to what was one of the worst defenses in the league the last couple of seasons.

One area of Dallas’ defense that they can improve is their pass rush. The Cowboys have been looking for a legitimate pass rusher opposite DeMarcus Lawrence since 2017. Randy Gregory has primarily been the Cowboys’ complimentary pass rusher. But off-the-field issues and disappointing production has limited him. The lack of a pass rusher from the other Cowboys’ defensive lineman is limiting the production of DeMarcus Lawrence because he is seeing all the attention from opposing offenses.

Cincinnati pass rusher Myjai Sanders fits perfectly into how Dan Quinn wants to build this defense.  He is an athletic 4-3 defensive end that relies on speed to get to the quarterback. He is raw as a pass rusher. But could develop into a great starting defensive end at the next level, and he goes here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

The pass rush duo of DeMarcus Lawrence and Myjai Sanders could pressure opposing offenses more than what the Cowboys have been able to do in recent years.
