29. Los Angeles Chargers: Adam Anderson, Edge Rusher, Georgia

In Brandon Staley’s first year as the head coach, the Los Angeles Chargers look like a new team. They are playing like a potential Super Bowl contender. Justin Herbert is playing like an MVP candidate, Mike Williams could be in line for a massive payday, Austin Ekeler is proving that he is a true three-down back. Also defensively the Chargers have been impressive this season.

They could possibly lose both players that rush the passer opposite Joey Bosa. Uchenna Nwosu and Kyler Fackrell have split the pass rusher snaps opposite Bosa this season replacing Melvin Ingram. If Los Angeles loses both they could take Georgia edge rusher Adam Anderson in the first round, as they do here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Anderson will be a household name come College Football Playoff. He is the best pass rusher in the best defense in college football.

If his production translates to the NFL he could see a lot of one on ones with tackles his rookie year because most of the attention will be on Joey Bosa. They could have a legitimate duo of pass rushers on this defense that is already producing at a very high level. Anderson could be the full-time replacement for Melvin Ingram who the Chargers let walk in free agency this past year.
