2022 NFL mock draft: Jaguars take OL at 1, Falcons, Texans get QBs
The rich get richer. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be competing in January and February again this season for another Super Bowl, but will their secondary be their downfall?
The Bucs have to be at least a little upset that the Patriots decided to trade Stephon Gilmore to their division rival Panthers instead of just cutting him loose.
Maybe Gilmore would have just joined the Panthers anyway, or maybe the Patriots knew he would go sign with the Bucs and decided not to do that favor for Tom Brady.
Either way, the Buccaneers are going to need to address their depth in the secondary in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Buccaneers already have a number of big-time playmakers in the secondary, but they haven’t been healthy this season and they can’t always rely on that. The Bucs are one of a number of teams in a position to be able to draft for need in case of emergency right now, and McDuffie is a great addition regardless.
He’s got outstanding speed and plays aggressively. That’s a great combo for Todd Bowles’ defense.
