The Nebraska Cornhuskers may have had their most impressive win in the Scott Frost era when they destroyed Northwestern 56 to 7. One player who made a tremendous impact in this game was outside linebacker JoJo Domann.

Domann was able to make his presence felt in both the passing game and against the run in this game. Overall on the night, he was able to account for nine tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. This type of performance is nothing new for Domann either as he had a great 2020 season. Last season, he led the Huskers in tackles, tackles for loss, pass breakups, and forced fumbles and was one of the more underrated linebackers in the Big Ten last year.

While Domann carries a free agent grade with most draftniks I currently have him graded as a fourth-round prospect. One of the reasons I am so high on him is his overall versatility. He has the ability to come down and make the tackle regularly against the run and also has the overall athletic ability to hold up well in coverage. His high football IQ is another thing working in his favor.

The one thing that could cause him to fall in the 2022 NFL Draft is his lack of elite athletic ability. He likely won’t be the fastest linebacker in this year’s draft and also is on the shorter side coming in at only 6-foot-1. Despite these concerns though I expect him to make an NFL roster next year and at the bare minimum become a special teams contributor.
