2022 NFL Draft: Zach Charbonnet leads top performers in week one
By Ryan McCrary
5. Phil Jurkovec, Quarterback, Boston College
Last season, Phil Jurkovec became one of the more underrated quarterbacks in college football as he threw for 2,558 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions through 10 games. He also rushed for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns. This season, he has a chance to become a legitimate NFL prospect depending on how well he performs.
Jurkovec got off to a hot start in week one against Colgate, completing 66.7% of his 24 attempts for 303 yards (12.6 per attempt) and 3 touchdowns. He also ran 5 times for 61 yards (12.2 per carry).
His performance against Colgate was a great start to the season, and he’ll become a popular prospect in a weak quarterback class if he continues to play at this level.
