2022 NFL Draft: Zach Charbonnet leads top performers in week one
By Ryan McCrary
3. Desmond Ridder, Quarterback, Cincinnati
Desmond Ridder is a phenomenal athlete who likely would’ve been the sixth quarterback off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft had he declared. He decided to return for one more season as he looks to improve his draft stock.
Ridder played extremely well against Miami (OH) this weekend, completing 80% of his 25 attempts for 295 yards (11.8 per attempt), 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also added 6 carries for 31 yards (5.2 per carry) and 1 touchdown.
His versatility as a passer and runner makes him an intriguing prospect, and he could be a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft if his decision-making improves this season.
