Week one of the 2021-2022 college football is officially complete. We’re now two weeks into the season, and many players have played well so far, whether they’ve played two games or just one. In honor of college football returning, here are five 2022 NFL Draft prospects who shined during the first two weeks of the season.
1. Zach Charbonnet, Running Back, UCLA
If you’re not on the Zach Charbonnet bandwagon by now, you better hop on, or else you’ll be late to the party. Charbonnet spent the last two seasons at Michigan, where he played well as a freshman, rushing for 726 yards and 11 touchdowns. He transferred to UCLA this season and has been incredible for the Bruins thus far.
Through two games this season, he’s rushed for 223 yards (13.1 per carry) and 4 touchdowns on 17 carries. He’s also added 2 catches for 49 yards.
UCLA played Hawaii in week “zero” and LSU in week one, and Charbonnet rushed for over 100 yards in each matchup. On Saturday, he helped the Bruins upset the16th ranked Tigers as he rushed for 117 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 carries.
Charbonnet’s quickness and contact balance are incredible, and he could be a fairly high pick in the 2022 NFL Draft if he continues to play well.
