2022 NFL Draft: Georgia-Clemson Loaded With Prospects To Watch
Other Prospects
Georgia Bulldogs safety Lewis Cine has an impressive combination of range and physicality, and he likely gets a boost once he’s on the national stage. He covers ground well and is an impressive tackler in space. He’s assignment-oriented and NFL defensive coordinators will love him.
Andrew Booth Jr. is a corner who is getting top 10 buzz already for the Clemson Tigers. A smooth athlete with good transitions, Booth can hang with the best in man coverage. His in-air athleticism and ball skills are phenomenal, and he makes the spectacular look routine at the catch point. Booth won’t get a chance to line up against George Pickens, but Georgia has other wide receivers who will test him.
Georgia has a pair of running backs to watch. Zamir White is a tough runner between the tackles with some explosion and linear speed to his game, and James Cook is a dynamic lateral mover who can be a great receiving back in the NFL. Cook has a good chance to raise his stock for the 2022 NFL Draft if he can receive more reps.
Tyler Davis is the top guy to watch for Clemson on their defensive line, a unit that is gaining more steam and getting back to where they were a few seasons ago. Davis plays with great leverage, quickness and power at the point of attack and plays great football against the run.
Peeking to 2023
It’s impossible not to peek to the year after for us draft fanatics here, so why not take a peek. Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei is ready for the national spotlight, and played very well when Trevor Lawrence was out last season. He could top the 2023 quarterback class. Myles Murphy, just 19, was an All-American as a freshman and brings the juice to Clemson’s defensive line.
