Georgia and Clemson face off on kickoff weekend in what should be an excellent matchup. It’s also loaded with 2022 NFL Draft Prospects.

In what could be one of the greatest opening week games, the number five Georgia Bulldogs and the number three Clemson Tigers meet in Charlotte in a game that has serious playoff implications. Whoever wins is in a serious driver’s seat to reach the College Football Playoff, while the other will need to ensure a conference title.

The game is certainly big for college football, but it’s also important for the 2022 NFL Draft. A plethora of prospects take the field looking to get their draft stock headed in the right direction for next spring. Who should everyone have eyes on? Let’s take a look.

Former Teammates Line Up As Opponents

It will be a lot of fun when the Clemson Tigers are on offense, and we will get to more of that soon, but watching Justyn Ross make a return after a neck injury will be special. Ross has the catch radius, ball skills, and efficiency as a route runner to move up the 2022 NFL Draft board, and he draws a familiar face at corner.

Derion Kendrick was dismissed from the Tigers and transferred to Georgia for what is likely just the upcoming season. Kendrick reloads the Georgia Bulldogs secondary and gives them a potential lockdown corner on the outside. Kendrick’s ball skills and instincts are impressive, and he can be a menace at the line of scrimmage. He needs to work on transitioning quicker back downhill, but his game is near-NFL ready. Ross versus Kendrick will be a blast.
