Cincinnati Bengals 3-Round 2022 Mock Draft: More Help On Offense?
The Cincinnati Bengals address the offensive line and more in this early 3-round 2022 mock draft.
The Cincinnati Bengals made a decision in the 2021 NFL Draft that is being picked apart every day. Opting for Ja’Marr Chase over Penei Sewell is something that is still gaining steam this preseason, as Chase has struggled with drops. Patience is the key there, as Chase wasn’t necessarily the issue with that draft. Despite what feels like one of the weaker offensive line units in terms of depth, the Bengals actually moved former first round pick Billy Price to the Giants for B.J. Hill, leaving Trey Hopkins as the starter at center with little depth behind him.
Cincinnati likely trots out Jonah Williams, Quinton Spain, Hopkins, Xavier Su’a-Filo, and Riley Reiff as the starting five this season with rookies D’Ante Smith and Jackson Carman coming off the bench as depth.
Is it enough? For this season, we will see. For the long term, there has to be upgrades to keep quarterback Joe Burrow upright and available for this franchise. It’s likely this team once again ends up near the top of the draft, especially in what figures to be a very strong division with two young talented quarterbacks and a very good defense in Pittsburgh. The 2021 season could result in a top five selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, along with (potentially) and new head coach and staff.
How can the Cincinnati Bengals remedy their issues? Let’s take an early look in this three round 2022 mock draft, geared towards more help on offense and a pick to help out a weakness on defense as well.
