Going into the 2021 college football season a look at what teams, players, and coaches might surprise and disappoint us this season.

We are about to enter the best season of the year which is football season. Going into this college football season we have plenty of questions including who will win it all this year, what teams will surprise and disappoint this year, and what draft prospect will shine this year. While it is impossible to know what will happen this year here are 10 predictions of what this season might hold.

1. The Oklahoma Sooners will win the National Championship

This will be the year the Oklahoma Sooners finally win the National Championship. There are three reasons why this will be the Sooners year.

The first reason being they have one of the most explosive offenses in college football led by one of the top quarterbacks in the game. The second reason being that the team has a fairly easy schedule with its only tough games of the regular season being against Texas and Iowa State.

The last reason is that the team’s defense has improved year after year under defensive coordinator Alex Grinch and will likely continue this trend this year.

2. Texas wins at least ten games this year

After striking out with Charlie Strong and Tom Herman, the Longhorns finally got the right man for the head coaching job in Steve Sarkisian. Texas has enough talent to make Sarkisian’s first season in Austin a success as well.

On the offensive side of the ball, they have one of the best running backs in college football in Bijan Robinson who set a school record last year by averaging 8.2 yards per carry last season. On the defensive side of the ball, the team has two playmakers in Alfred Collins and DeMarvion Overshown.

3. Rutgers makes a bowl game

Rutgers has not been to a bowl game since 2014, but expect that to change this season. The main reason for this is coach Greg Schiano who does an outstanding job of getting the most out of his talent. The team will also be helped by opening the season against Temple, Syracuse, and Delaware which are very winnable games.
