3. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are rolling with Jalen Hurts for year one of the Nick Sirianni/Shane Steichen era, which is completely fine.

Behind Hurts, however, the Eagles have just Joe Flacco and Nick Mullens.

Yikes.

Those two players would require a vastly different offensive game plan in the event that Jalen Hurts is injured or anything like that, so Howie Roseman should be out looking for players who could at least be somewhat similar in terms of their athletic profile.

Although Drew Lock is not exactly like Jalen Hurts stylistically, he’s a lot more like him than Joe Flacco.

Given the lack of clarity regarding the future of the Philadelphia Eagles right now, Lock would be a nice asset for them to have in case things don’t work out with Hurts.

Lock still has plenty of upside, he’s only 24, and he’s started a decent number of games at the NFL level.

He could be a solid backup option in case the Eagles need him and a worthwhile option to evaluate beyond this season if Hurts doesn’t play well enough.
