WR. 19. player. 15. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ohio State. Chris Olave

The New Orleans Saints’ current group of wide receivers is not good, and it’s only in the “not good” category because when healthy, it still includes Michael Thomas.

With Thomas dealing with an injury, the Saints’ wide receiver room is arguably the worst in the entire NFL, and it’s not particularly close.

Not a bad way to open up the post-Drew Brees era, right?

The Saints desperately need wide receiver help, and they need it now.

They might not be opposed to the idea of asking the Ohio State Buckeyes about Chris Olave’s avialability if that were even a legal thing they could do.

For now, the Saints will have to wait until 2022 to make any additions at the position barring some kind of trade leading up to the 2021 season, which is very possible.

Chris Olave is known for his route running abilities, big-play abilities, and strong hands.

He may not be the biggest receiver, but he more than makes up for that by creating separation consistently and finding ways to get open. He is averaging almost a touchdown per game over his last two seasons for the Buckeyes.

Whoever is lining up under center for the New Orleans Saints going forward will love to have a weapon like Olave in the lineup. Hopefully, not at the expense of another former Buckeye, Michael Thomas, who apparently isn’t happy.
