3. QB PJ Walker to the Baltimore Ravens

We’ll chalk this one up as a bit of a longshot, but something that would certainly be something the Baltimore Ravens should ask about.

The Carolina Panthers traded for Sam Darnold in the 2021 offseason, putting their faith in his development in a different offense. There’s nothing wrong with that, though they did pass on some other players and options that may have had more long-term upside to do it.

Currently, PJ Walker is a pretty valuable backup option for Carolina, so they probably aren’t going to be shopping him, but the Baltimore Ravens should absolutely be calling about the price.

Although Lamar Jackson has certainly proven his worth, injuries happen in the NFL and the Ravens’ current backup at the QB position is former Utah star Tyler Huntley.

It’s not wrong for the Baltimore Ravens to believe in Huntley’s development, but if Jackson goes down at any point with an injury, can Huntley be counted on to be the guy to keep the ship afloat?

PJ Walker is a player who has proven himself worthy of a starting job in the NFL, and even in Carolina right now, he’s just one snap away.

He would be a great backup for Lamar Jackson and if the Ravens would ever need him, it could prove to be a season-saving move.
