Jerrion Ealy Has Dynamic Skill Set

The first thing that jumps out with Jerrion Ealy is the burst and explosiveness. Once a hole opens or there’s any daylight in front of him, Ealy gets downhill with urgency and great acceleration. He can quickly reach the second level and has the speed to threaten angles of third-level defenders. That explosiveness is dangerous when Ealy gets to the corner on runs that he takes to the perimeter. His explosiveness is also a headache for defenders in short areas, whether it be turning runs upfield or once he catches a ball in space.

Ealy has the great footwork and agility to quickly transition and get to open lanes and uses that agility to make defenders miss in space. He shows off good setup moves in space as well to manipulate defenders and the space itself.

Ealy has excellent patience when he runs, whether it be waiting for holes to open up and his line to get in place between the tackles or for blocks to set themselves up in space off of screen plays or swing passes his way.

Ealy also displays good hands in the passing game, consistently securing the football away from his frame and isn’t too urgent to get his eyes upfield until the ball is secure.
