2022 NFL Draft: 10 players to watch in college football
By Ryan McCrary
7. Evan Neal, Offensive Tackle, Alabama
Evan Neal is a tremendous offensive lineman who will likely be one of the first tackles off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft. The main reason why he’s a highly-touted prospect is that he’s a freak of nature.
He is 6-foot-7 and weighs 359 pounds, but he’s also a tremendous athlete. Coming out of high school, he had a SPARQ rating (a scoring system designed to measure sport-specific athleticism) of 89.55, one of the best in the class of 2019.
Neal played right tackle last season but will be transitioning to left tackle this year. This may be a difficult experience due to the differing roles of the two positions, but he has the size and athleticism to be successful on the left side of the offensive line.
Like Stingley Jr., he should be a very high pick if he tests well at the combine next year.
