2022 NFL Draft: 10 players to watch in college football
By Ryan McCrary
5. Malik Willis, Quarterback, Liberty
Malik Willis‘ journey to get to where he is today has been nothing short of spectacular. He started his collegiate career at Auburn, but he didn’t start, filling in as the backup to Bo Nix. After two seasons of minimal playing time, he decided to transfer to Liberty University.
In his first season with the Liberty flames last year, he completed 64.2% of his passes and threw for 2,250 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. He also ran the ball 141 times for 944 yards and 14 touchdowns.
He put himself on the map with his performance last season, and it’s easy to see why many people have their eye on him. He’s a fantastic athlete with excellent arm strength who can impact the game as a passer and rusher.
He’s a bit raw as a passer, but the physical tools are out of this world. If he has another productive season this year, he may end up being a top-10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
