Las Vegas Raiders: 3 trade options for Marcus Mariota
2. Baltimore Ravens
I’m sure the Baltimore Ravens and their stellar fan base are a bit more bullish on Trace McSorley than I am, but at this particular point in time, if Lamar Jackson would go down, this legitimate Super Bowl contender would completely vaporize.
Lamar Jackson has been an MVP and is hopefully now in line to get a record-setting contract after wildly exceeding pretty much any expectations for him coming into the league.
We’re old enough to remember requests being made at the Scouting Combine for Jackson to run drills with the receivers.
As established as Jackson is, the Baltimore Ravens could greatly benefit from having a backup option at the QB position like Mariota.
Not only for the fact that Jackson is in his contract year, but you always have to plan for the worst-case scenario in the NFL. The Ravens are not expecting Jackson to get injured, but what if something like that happens in week one or two?
Having a fail-safe like Mariota in place would be a great insurance policy.
The Las Vegas Raiders could look at this Baltimore Ravens roster and try to bring back some depth in a trade for Mariota, or they could just collect draft picks.
