The Green Bay Packers and their fans breathed a sigh of relief when Aaron Rodgers showed up to camp last Tuesday, and now they get another run at a Super Bowl with 12 running the show. The group is clearly good enough to win a title, but getting past the NFC gauntlet will once again be tough.
The offense will add a new element with the addition of Amari Rodgers and the return of Randall Cobb. Marquez Valdes-Scantling can keep growing into a good number two option, and Robert Tonyan should only get better in a TE-friendly scheme.
The secondary added more potential in Eric Stokes and Shemar Jean-Charles, and Rashan Gary’s breakout could give a boost to a pass rush that stalled a bit last season.
Speaking of the pass rush, next offseason will be a tough one in Green Bay. There’s so much to shed in terms of the salary cap, and it’s not crazy to think that Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith could be out, leaving a hole opposite Gary.
