Quarterback. player. Pick Analysis. USC. Kedon Slovis. 16. 45. Scouting Report

The Denver Broncos have been the talk of the offseason when it comes to the quarterback position. There’s still plenty of polarizing opinions around Drew Lock as he enters his third season. Even with Lock still an unknown to some degree, the Broncos traded for Teddy Bridgewater and were the center of rumors surrounding a Rodgers trade. Ultimately, the Broncos will ride with Lock and Bridgewater this upcoming season.

Still, this will be an important season of evaluation. The pieces are in place for Denver to make a run at the postseason and be a true contender. The receiving core is bonkers good, and the offensive line has gotten much better with Mike Munchak there to coach up the young guys.

The Broncos could easily be in on the quarterback market in the 2022 NFL Draft, and here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they select USC quarterback Kedon Slovis.

Slovis has had an up-and-down career so far with the Trojans, and it shows on film. He has some serious variance between plays, especially in his sophomore campaign, where you’ll see highlight-reel throws and then boneheaded mistakes. Slovis has enough of an arm and playmaking ability outside of structure. He just needs to build more consistency to be an NFL starter.
