2022 NFL Mock Draft: QBs go 1-2, Defense Dominates Top 10
After a season that saw them struggle with a young defense, the Minnesota Vikings are looking for a rebound in 2021. They had a couple rookies shine in 2020, especially Justin Jefferson. Jefferson took the league by storm and proved he can be a WR1 for Minnesota. Cameron Dantzler showed some promise as well.
The Vikings have the offensive line looking great headed into 2021, and the 2021 draft played a part in that. Moving back in the first and still getting Christian Darrisaw to be their left tackle was excellent maneuvering, and they got Wyatt Davis to potentially secure one of the guard spots.
The offense will be clicking this fall, but the defense is the area with questions. A running mate opposite Danielle Hunter will be important to find, and the hope is one of Patrick Jones II, D.J. Wonnum, or Janarius Robinson becomes a viable starter. Patrick Peterson will be a short term answer at corner, but a long term one is necessary.
Jeff Gladney might not play again, so drafting Andrew Booth Jr. in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft makes plenty of sense. Booth has incredible in-air athleticism and ball skills, and transition skills as well. He could easily become a top 10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft with a big year for the Tigers, and Mike Zimmer will like his traits.
