Texas A&M. DeMarvin Leal. 12. Scouting Report. Defensive Line. Pick Analysis. player. 32

The Arizona Cardinals are on the cusp of becoming true contenders in the NFC, despite being in an extremely tough division. The Kliff Kingsbury/Kyler Murray connection is working, and they added more weapons in 2021, signing A.J. Green and drafting Rondale Moore, who bring different skill sets with them to the desert.

Arizona has prioritized linebacker with their last two drafts, first bringing in Isaiah Simmons and then Zaven Collins. Both have athleticism in spades and need to keep adjusting to NFL speed to refine their games.

J.J. Watt and Chandler Jones can be a fearsome duo, but Jones has recently stated his desire for a new contract, leading to what could be a potential trade. That would leave the defensive line back to where it started, with one star carrying the load.

In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Cardinals help out the line, selecting Texas A&M’s DeMarvin Leal. At 290 pounds, Leal has played all over the line, from 5-technique to 3-technique and even some nose tackle. Leal has incredible movement skills for his size, and great dip and hand usage to boot. He could play all over the Arizona line and make an impact, and is likely the best interior lineman in the 2022 NFL Draft.
