Tampa Bay Buccaneers trade options with the Tennessee Titans
3. Ty Sambrailo a depth reinforcement for Bucs OL?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bracing for a 20-game season, not including the three preseason games on tap for August.
With 23 games including preseason matchups looming, the Bucs will need to appropriately prepare for the absolute grind that awaits them as they try to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
With 17 regular season games no matter what the postseason looks like for them, the Buccaneers may have an interest in upgrading their backup positions on the offensive line.
The team drafted Robert Hainsey in 2021 and they believe he can provide them depth at every position on the offensive line.
Even with that being the case, the Bucs may need some more reinforcements behind their very solid offensive line.
The Tennessee Titans lost reserve tackle Dennis Kelly in the offseason so they might need some convincing to trade reserve Ty Sambrailo, but perhaps he would be included in a trade for someone like OJ Howard.
At less than $2 million in base salary, Sambrailo is a solid value who can give you depth at guard or tackle.
The former second-round pick of the Denver Broncos has not lived up to his lofty draft status, but he’s become a valuable reserve and spot starter at his other NFL stops.
He could be a nice backup for the Super Bowl Champs’ offensive line.
