Flowers’ Strengths Include Deep Threat Ability

Flowers is extremely dynamic as a player and it starts at the line of scrimmage. His release package is very good, consisting of speed releases, one-step (stretch) releases, and two-step (blade) releases. Flowers also varies these up well and throws in the occasional hesitation early in his stem to keep defenders on their toes.

As a route runner, Flowers is impressive. He can create separation very well on intermediate routes and his crisp breaks and transitions give his quarterback big windows to throw to. Flowers maintains good speed through those transitions, and also is a great route salesman, especially on double moves. He sells well to get defenders into speed turns and fools them on the double move.

Flowers’ speed makes him a dangerous deep threat. He can eat up cushion quickly against off-coverage and has the stamina to maintain it down the field. Flowers can quickly stack defenders with the speed he possesses as well, and is a plus tracker of the football.

After the catch is a true treat to watch when it comes to Flowers. He’s got the agility and quickness as an athlete to make defenders miss, but he also creates with improvisational deception. He varies up his moves and takes advantage when defenders turn their back. His flexibility and bend give him the ability to stop on a dime, and he starts things up pretty quick once he stops. Flowers can string moves together and is a threat to score from nearly anywhere on the field.
