2022 NFL mock draft: Texans pass on QB in QB-heavy predictions
2022 NFL mock draft: 21st pick
The Dallas Cowboys made it a point to upgrade the defensive side of the ball in the 2021 offseason.
Primarily utilizing the NFL Draft after investing heavily on offense with players like Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys brought in Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons and Kentucky cornerback Kelvin Joseph to boost one of the league’s worst defenses a season ago.
Bubba Bolden is a big-bodied safety prospect who would fit the Dan Quinn mold pretty perfectly.
At 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Bolden is not exactly a “clone” of Kam Chancellor but you get the idea.
Dan Quinn earned his first head coaching gig by calling plays for the Seattle Seahawks during the prime Legion of Boom years. It’s going to take some time for this Dallas unit to even think about catching up to that, but one piece at a time.
Bolden had a big season for Miami in 2020 with 74 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, three passes defensed, and four forced fumbles.
Bolden is a read and diagnose safety who plays instinctively and aggressively. He would be a nice fit with the other young pieces in the Cowboys’ secondary.
