New Orleans Saints

Who knows what will happen with the quarterback position for the New Orleans Saints at this point. They have been creative, no doubt, but in terms of getting a read for the position, it’s been very difficult.

It doesn’t really matter if Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill end up being the primary signal caller on offense when looking to the future. Both of them are on deals that will void out after this year, giving the Saints the potential to have a clean slate at quarterback going into the 2022 NFL Draft.

If the experiment doesn’t work, or even if it does, the New Orleans Saints will have the ability to completely revamp their quarterback room at the end of the season to be exactly what they want. With that being said, they could be one of the teams in the market for a quarterback in the draft next summer.

The Saints have been no stranger to navigating the draft order through trades the last few seasons, so even if they aren’t in position to get a top prospect, they could find a way to make it happen. This season will be telling of the direction the franchise decides to go at the position, but until there’s a clear path they will be paired with quarterback conversations in the 2022 NFL Draft.
