Los Angeles Rams: Jacob Harris, WR/TE, UCF

Round 4, 141st Overall

After an offseason that featured the Los Angeles Rams make a huge move to get quarterback Matthew Stafford, many believed that the Rams were headed for an excellent offseason. It was tough to say goodbye to Michael Brockers and John Johnson III, but a great unit is still intact.

Offensive line was one area that many believed the Rams would address in the 2021 NFL Draft, but instead, they opted to add a plethora of pass catchers, this coming after they signed DeSean Jackson. A lot of the selections were questionable in this draft class, especially their day two picks of Tutu Atwell and Ernest Jones, despite the latter’s fit.

Instead, some of their better selections in an underwhelming class came on day three. Bobby Brown III could fit into the defensive line rotation during his rookie campaign, and there are high hopes for the development of Robert Rochell. But, the best selection was UCF’s Jacob Harris.

Harris is already getting plenty of hype during the summer. Head coach Sean McVay had him running with the first team at times as Harris makes a position switch to tight end. His height/weight/speed combo is a good fit in an offense that will likely get more vertical in 2021, and his size and body control will help him be effective in the red zone. Don’t be surprised to see some production in year one.
