Fantasy Football 2021: Julio Jones, WR Tennessee Titans /

3) Julio Jones WR/ Tennessee Titans ADP: 3.11

Just typing out Tennessee Titans next to Julio Jones felt weird.  Everything about this feels weird.  Julio isn’t the kind of player you expect to see end his career with another team.

He was the Falcons’ best player for a decade, and someone who is a first-ballot Hall of Famer.  Bigger than the defensive backs, faster than them, stronger than them, just flat out better than them, Julio was the guy you would mold all wide receivers after.

The problem is that that is who Julio used to be. Listen, I love Julio Jones the player, but the days of him going for 1,500 yards in his sleep are over. He is now in a run-heavy offense, with a younger, and frankly better receiver opposite him. He is still very much an NFL receiver, and one that defenses shouldn’t feel great about their #2 corner covering, but the downgrade from Matt Ryan to Ryan Tannehill is concerning.

The lack of volume is concerning as Matt Ryan led the league in attempts last year with 626, Ryan Tannehill had 481…Julio also has one weird knock that has followed him throughout his career, he absolutely vanishes in the red zone.

This problem isn’t going to get better in Tennessee where Derrick Henry rules the land and gobbles up touchdowns.  With guys like Terry McLaurin, Amari Cooper, and Chris Godwin going either at the same spot or after, go with those guys and be grateful you did.  Julio will be a WR2 but is being taken in WR 1 territory.

Another list, another couple of players that fantasy football owners should grab and avoid. As usual, I am planting my flag on this list. The hill I will die on is written down and forever archived on the internet.

So when I am right, I can point this out. And if by some miracle I am wrong, well, that’s fantasy football for you. Take the advice on the player or not, no offense will ever be taken, but the advice you should take is to have fun.

Have a blast with your friends, brag, trash talk, make memories.  Fantasy football is a way for many of us to stay connected to our friends as life gets more and more hectic, so enjoy it, I know that I love every minute of playing this amazing game with my friends.

This is the seventh season I will have been in this league, and I wouldn’t give back one minute of it.  I hope all of you reading this enjoy the game as much as I do, and I hope my tips help you win!
