2) Corey Davis WR/ New York Jets ADP: 10.04

Corey Davis is going too low. The 10th round is kind of ridiculous for a guy who is walking into a situation where he is the de facto #1 guy. Add in that he has Zach Wilson and not Sam Darnold anymore and I like what these two could do together.

At 6’3″ he is a big-bodied receiver who can still run by guys. Again, a guy who was buried by the lackluster passing game in Tennessee, he saw only 92 targets and turned that into 984 yards, good for 15.1 yards per catch. This man is a chain mover, big-play threat, and red zone target rolled into one.

Don’t let the unimpressive five touchdowns deter you, this was a team that had human wrecking ball Derrick Henry, so in the red zone, it was a simple decision to hand the ball off.

49 of Davis’ 65 receptions turned into first downs, so he is certainly worth giving an opportunity to.  The Jets are also devoid of many pass catchers outside of Jamison Crowder and the unproven Denzel Mims, so Davis comes in with some serious claims to targets.

Don’t draft him and expect a top 10 finish at his position, but he is certainly capable of being a top 20 and maybe closer to cracking the top 10 than we might think.

Draft him ahead of DeVante Parker, Marquise Brown, and Cole Beasley, all of whom are going ahead of him, and don’t be fooled into taking T.Y. Hilton instead of Davis. Should you miss out on Courtland Sutton or guys like him in the 7th round, grabbing Davis a round or two earlier, in the 8th or 9th, will fill that void.
