1) Jonnu Smith TE/New England Patriots ADP: 8.05

Jonnu Smith is now a New England Patriot. When you think of tight ends and where they could go to thrive, New England has to be one of the places that comes to mind.

Bill Belichick is no stranger to rolling tight ends out to absolutely destroy opponents and Smith’s speed and RAC ability are rarities at the position. At 6’3″ he isn’t the tallest guy on the field, but his 4.62 40-yard dash time is worth noting, along with his hard-nosed approach to the game.

This isn’t a guy who is going to shy away from contact and Patriots fans are going to love him for it.  This is a player who only had 65 targets last year, but he caught 41 of them for a solid 10.9 yards per reception, tied with Noah Fant and far ahead of Logan Thomas.

He added eight touchdowns as well, so he is clearly a red zone threat. Fantasy football-wise he profiles as a back-end TE1, with mid TE1 upside. I would say take him ahead of Noah Fant and Logan Thomas, both of whom are going ahead of him. Don’t go much higher than his ADP, but if you get him around that area you have a good player.
