3) Devonta Smith WR/Philadelphia Eagles ADP 12.05

This ADP doesn’t make much sense to me. First off, this man just told all of college football that they were playing for second place to him. He made Mac Jones look like a first-round pick, he couldn’t be stopped, won the Heisman, and he went to the Eagles, a team so devoid of receiving talent that Travis Fulgham was the best pass-catcher on the team last year.

With another year of Jalen Reagor getting to see action and Dallas Goedert primed for a larger role with the team looking to move on from Zach Ertz, I love Smith coming in and immediately seeing high-volume targets.

Size is going to work against him in the NFL, he is 6’1″, but only 175 pounds. He seems like an injury risk, but you never know with injuries so don’t bother trying to predict them, trust the talent, and feel good.

Smith doesn’t profile as a top 10 guy to me, but he will be a solid flex option or even a low-end WR2. Guys going ahead of him include Nelson Agholor, Trey Lance (really?), and Justin Tucker.  A future slot maven, Smith is going to show the NFL that they are in for a long decade with him being a first down machine.

For leagues that have PPR, he will be golden, if you lack PPR the touchdown production may not be there to help you out this year. Speaking of not helping you out this year, let’s look at guys who are going to cause you problems if drafted in your fantasy football league.
