Denver Broncos: Players and picks to tempt Packers into Rodgers trade
Denver Broncos trade pieces: Starting offensive lineman
The Denver Broncos have a slight problem on their hands: They have more starting interior offensive linemen than spots to play each guy.
The Broncos’ “problem” is hardly that at all, but in all seriousness, they do not have enough starting interior line positions for the number of guys qualified to play for them.
The starting three interior linemen for most of the 2020 season were Dalton Risner at left guard, Lloyd Cushenberry at center, and Graham Glasgow at right guard. The Broncos could put rookie Quinn Meinerz or second-year player Netane Muti in as starters on the interior line in the event any of those players is hurt — or traded.
The Packers obviously lost center Corey Linsley in free agency but added former Ohio State center Josh Myers in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Myers has some guard versatility and the Packers also have former second-round pick Elgton Jenkins who took some snaps at left tackle at minicamp.
Needless to say, the Packers could use some help on the offensive line and the Denver Broncos could send them exactly that in any Aaron Rodgers trade.
Risner has two more years on his deal, Cushenberry has three, and Glasgow also has three.
