2022 NFL mock draft: Spencer Rattler leads fascinating QB class
2022 NFL mock draft: 5th pick
Watching Notre Dame’s star linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah over the past two seasons, it’s been impossible to ignore number 14 out there on the field for the Irish.
Number 14, of course, is Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton, a 6-foot-4, 219-pound safety with big-time range, physicality, and production.
In two seasons (24 games), he’s racked up 104 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, and 12 pass breakups.
With the instincts and range to play the position as well as rare size out there, Hamilton could be a really fun fit with the rest of this young Jacksonville Jaguars secondary.
Obviously Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne are the headliners for this team in the 2021 offseason, but the Jaguars have added, in the last two offseasons, some really intriguing talents like 2020 first-round pick CJ Henderson, 2021 second-round pick Tyson Campbell, and 2021 free agent acquisition Shaquill Griffin.
Hamilton could be the type of playmaker at the safety position to take this unit to another level in the 2022 season and beyond.
