The Rest

Tyler Davis

The Jaguars drafted Davis in the 6th-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The former Georgia Tech tight end played in eight games with 40 offensive snaps and 76 special teams snaps.

He’s facing an uphill battle to make the roster regardless of Tim Tebow’s presence or not.

Ben Ellefson

A former undrafted player out of North Dakota State, Ben Ellefson played 133 offensive snaps last year in addition to 63 special teams snaps. He actually caught a pass among his 133 offensive snaps played unlike his fellow 2020 classmate Davis, and playing more than three times the amount of snaps, he would likely have the edge as the TE3 or TE4 option.

So what’s happening with Tim Tebow?

As you can see, the Jacksonville Jaguars have perhaps the worst tight end position group in the entire NFL. The players they have are certainly capable in rotation, but as the lead guys, it’s hard to see the upside here.

Although Tebow has been out of the game for eight years, the Jaguars clearly have to find some type of playmaking ability at the position, and perhaps he could provide that.

Time will tell, but the addition of Tebow is at the very least intriguing given the current state of this Jacksonville position group.
