D’Wayne Eskridge, WR, SEA

The Mid-American Conference is no stranger to producing wide receiver talent from Antonio Brown from Central Michigan to Scotty Miller from Bowling Green. One of the recent pipelines has been Western Michigan, turning out Corey Davis not too long ago. Now, they can add D’Wayne Eskridge to the list.

While Eskridge won’t have the lack of positional depth like Collins in Houston or St. Brown in Detroit, his role could be a very important one with the Seattle Seahawks in the upcoming season. Obviously D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are locked into the top two spots, but the supporting roles are still well up for grabs.

With David Moore leaving this offseason, joining the Carolina Panthers, his role is the one that it seems like Eskridge was selected to fill. The skillset is a bit different, but Eskridge’s speed will fit the slot well in Seattle if that’s where they opt to place him. Eskridge can also return kicks, taking one to the house for Western Michigan this past season.

Given his ability to contribute in so many ways as well as fitting the role of need in Seattle could push Eskridge to be a big piece to the Seahawks’ offense. Moore is leaving behind 35 catches and six touchdowns from last season that Eskridge could very well replace.
