Round 4, 121st overall

Pick Analysis. D'Ante Smith. 52. Scouting Report. OT. East Carolina. 4. player

Actual pick: Jordan Smith, EDGE, UAB

There was a lot to like about the Jaguars’ selection of Jordan Smith in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but this re-draft is starting to feel too defense-heavy. Instead of investing on the defensive line again, the Jaguars look to their offensive front here, adding exciting offensive tackle prospect D’Ante Smith to the mix.

Smith is a long and athletic offensive tackle prospect who displays obvious upside in pass protection. Instead of reaching up for Little far too early, the Jags address their offensive tackle situation with the selection of Smith here. It would have been a similar situation. The Jaguars hope that Little will show enough to allow them to move on from Cam Robinson next offseason. Here, they find similar upside at a much better price.

Round 5, 145th overall

Memphis. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kenneth Gainwell. 5. player. 52. RB

Actual pick: Luke Farrell, TE, Ohio State

Urban Meyer wanted more speed at the running back position and that is understandable. However, investing a first-round pick to solve that was a mistake that could backfire in a major way. Instead, the Jags should have remained patient and looked for value at the running back position. In this re-draft, that is exactly what they do with the addition of Kenneth Gainwell.

Gainwell is a quick, smooth and explosive runner who sees holes well and attacks them with impressive natural burst. He is a dynamic runner in the open field and also shows impressive playmaking ability as a receiver out of the backfield. Etienne is a better prospect than Gainwell but the value difference here is absolutely massive.

Round 6, 209th overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 52. WR. Georgia Tech. Jalen Camp. 6

Actual pick: Jalen Camp, WR, Georgia Tech

With their final selection of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars find some nice upside at the wide receiver position. Jalen Camp is a big, long and athletic outside receiver who shows exciting natural big-play ability. He separates from the defense with ease and tracks the deep ball extremely well.

Camp was not a consistently productive player in college but it easy to see his upside at the next level. The Jaguars may have found a nice diamond in the rough with this pick and honestly, I was not a huge fan of anybody else remaining on the board. Adding Camp here in the sixth would round out this re-draft class nicely.
