Jacksonville Jaguars re-draft: Fixing their 2021 NFL Draft haul
Round 3, 65th overall
Actual pick: Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse
The Andre Cisco pick here at No. 65 overall was actually one of my favorite selections made by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft. Cisco is an impact playmaker on the back-end who undoubtedly has exciting upside. However, the Jags addressing safety earlier in this re-draft allows them to go in a different direction here. Joseph Ossai stands out as a great value pick and would have been a strong addition for Jacksonville.
Ossai is a freak athlete at the edge rusher position who shows exciting upside as a speed rusher on the outside. He is not the most polished player at this point in his career, but Ossai flashes tremendous upfield burst and flexibility around the corner. With some development, he could grow into an impact speed rusher on the outside, making him a worthy investment in this range. The Cisco pick was good, but it is hard to argue against taking Ossai here either.
Round 4, 106th overall
Actual pick: Jay Tufele, IDL, USC
Jay Tufele is a big, powerful and athletic interior defensive lineman who undoubtedly has exciting upside at the next level. He is extremely quick off of the ball, powerful at the point of attack and has a knack for creating pressure up the middle.
Tufele is an extremely well-rounded defensive line prospect who shows the ability to attack gaps and make plays as a one-gap penetrator and can also shine as a two-gap run stuffer. The Jacksonville Jaguars found great value with their fourth-round selection of Tufele and it is difficult to argue against them building up their defenses through the trenches. This pick stays the same in this re-draft.
