3. Trade for Eagles TE Zach Ertz

Another big name on the NFL trade block in the 2021 offseason is Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz.

The Eagles, needing the cap relief, would likely move on from Ertz for a pretty reasonable price when it comes to draft compensation. The Green Bay Packers should view their future draft capital as very negotiable given they are in a championship window.

Robert Tonyan had a big year for the Packers in 2020, but Ertz would give Green Bay another veteran weapon at the tight end position and we know that the offense Matt LaFleur runs can really highlight multiple tight ends.

Ertz has two voided years on his contract beyond 2021, so there’s a good chance he would be willing to sign a new deal to stick in Green Bay for, say, the next three years.

Having Ertz in the fold along with the potential of adding Julio Jones with Davante Adams would give the Packers three veteran guys to play with Rodgers who have historically been very high percentage receivers when it comes to putting the ball in their area and knowing they will come down with it.

It would be fascinating to see Rodgers with these two weapons added to the mix, however Brian Gutekunst and the front office could make it happen.
