2. Trade for Falcons WR Julio Jones

Rumors of a potential Julio Jones trade surfaced a couple of weeks before the 2021 NFL Draft.

Although there’s no guarantee this will happen, it seems like the Falcons were definitely headed in this direction.

If Julio Jones is available, the Green Bay Packers should come calling without question.

Jones’ contract is one that the Packers would definitely need a Rodgers extension and perhaps even some additional help to add to their books. He has a base salary over $15 million this year.

Perhaps Jones would be willing to re-work his deal — which has three years left — to play with Rodgers and Davante Adams in Green Bay.

To connect to something that was previously mentioned, Jones would be the second first-round pick that Rodgers would potentially throw a touchdown pass to. Even though Jones will be 32 this season, he’s still playing at an extremely high level.

When he plays in the majority of the Falcons’ games, he’s still good for at least 1,000 yards per season. He averaged over 15 yards per catch in nine games last year for Atlanta and would bring another dynamic veteran presence to Green Bay’s passing attack with Adams on the other side and now Amari Rodgers in the slot.
