The 2021 NFL Draft saw a handful of quarterbacks go in the first round, which was to be expected, but some of the destinations and pairings came as a bit of a surprise. With that, some teams might now be in the market to move a quarterback off of their roster that they weren’t planning to do just a little over a week ago. For each team that was able to land a quarterback, there’s at least one other team that is still in the market to add one at some point.

In the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and New England Patriots all selected quarterbacks for the future. However, teams like the Washington Football Team, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos are still without a clear path forward that could keep them in the quarterback market, perhaps even for one of the players to be named later in this article. Each of them added an arm to the quarterback room, but the options that could be available post-draft might be better than what’s on the roster.

While some of these players, maybe even all of them, might not be moved before the season the clock is ticking on tenures with their current organizations. Whether it be concerns with the front office, issues off the field or younger players pushing them out the door, there’s reason to believe they have limited time left in their current uniform.

Some of these players have a much bigger profile than others and would warrant a higher price in trades, but that doesn’t mean they are excluded from talks like these. If a team in need of a quarterback, like Washington, or a team just looking for an upgrade explores the market, then these are five names to watch that could be on the move now that the 2021 NFL Draft is complete.
