2021 NFL Draft best second-round pick: Azeez Ojulari, New York Giants (50th overall)

There were many strong second-round selections that could have been an option here but it is difficult to top the New York Giants trading down and snagging Azeez Ojulari at No. 50 overall. Ojulari fell in the 2021 NFL Draft because of a relatively mysterious knee injury so this pick certainly carries some risk. That being said, he is an incredibly talented player whose massive upside outweighs the risk, especially at No. 50 overall

Ojulari is an explosive edge defender who displays a lightning-quick first step and impressive bend around the edge. He is an exciting speed rusher who lacks a bit of size up front, but makes up for it with a physical style of player and an extremely high motor. Ojulari shows obvious upside as a pass rusher at the next level, but also plays disciplined football and displays great instincts against the run.

Make no mistake about it, Ojulari was a first-round caliber talent in the 2021 NFL Draft class. As long as the knee holds up, he will look like a massive steal for the Giants at No. 50 overall.

2021 NFL Draft best third-round pick: Wyatt Davis, Minnesota Vikings (86th overall)

The Minnesota Vikings entered the 2021 NFL Draft with obvious needs across the offensive line. Moving down the board and still landing Christian Darrisaw at No. 23 was brilliant, but their selection of Wyatt Davis in the third round was arguably just as impressive.

Davis’ stock went down over the past year, but if we look back to his 2019 tape, it is easy to see why he has a bright future. Davis is a quick and powerful offensive guard prospect who absolutely dominates at the point of attack. If he reverts back to his 2019 form, Davis will be one of the best offensive linemen in this class. Snagging him at No. 86 overall was a massive steal.
