Round 4 Pick 128: Patrick Johnson EDGE Tulane

With their first pick in the fourth round, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Patrick Johnson. Johnson is a primary pass rusher that can give relief and be a nice addition to that edge rotation in Pittsburgh. The Steelers lost Bud Dupree in free agency this season, but even with Alex Highsmith, the Steelers could use more depth at the position.

Patrick Johnson stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs around 255 pounds. Johnson’s main weakness is his ability to cover in pass coverage, but with his athletic build, that shouldn’t be a huge issue. Johnson could be a nice situational pass rusher to come in on long-distance situations. With his polished pass-rushing ability, Patrick Johnson would be a steal for the Pittsburgh Steelers at this point in the draft.

Round 4 Pick 140: Robert Hainsey OT/OG Notre Dame

With the Steelers’ second pick in the fourth round, they select the flexible tackle Robert Hainsey. Hainsey has gotten some high praise this draft season, but also some confusion on where he will play. Hainsey is a good fit for the Pittsburgh Steelers for he can be a similar role that Matt Feiler was during his time in Pittsburgh. Play some tackle and be kicked inside to give versatility and depth on the O-line.

Hainsey stands at 6-foot-5 and weighing 290 pounds which is small for your typical tackle. If Hainsey wanted to be a long-term starter outside he would need to improve in getting depth off his jumps and footwork outside. Hainsey could be used inside or out and makes for a great selection in the fourth round in the 2021 NFL Draft for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
