Cincinnati Bengals 7-round mock draft after taking Ja’Marr Chase
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 190th Overall
After Alex Erickson’s departure in free agency, the Cincinnati Bengals suddenly have an opening for a return man on special teams. So, with the 190th pick of this seven-round mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Marquez Stevenson out of Houston.
While he was a productive wide receiver for the Cougars, Stevenson’s value really comes as a return specialist at the next level. In his last two seasons, Stevenson returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 29 yards per return. That type of playmaking ability would make him a valuable addition this late in the 2021 NFL Draft.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 202nd Overall
Earlier in this Cincinnati Bengals seven-round 2021 mock draft, I had them taking Teven Jenkins with their second-round pick, but they should look to add more depth on the offensive line in the later rounds as well. Notre Dame’s Tommy Kraemer would be a great late-round target for Cincinnati. He’s an experienced, smart, physical player that could develop into a spot-start option with some development. The Bengals offensive line all of a sudden has an edge to it with the addition of guys like Jenkins and Kraemer.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 7, 235th Overall
With the final pick of this Cincinnati Bengals seven-round 2021 mock draft, I have them adding some depth in the secondary with North Carolina Central’s Bryan Mills. A stud at the FCS level, Mills proved he could keep up with the best of the best after a solid showing at the 2021 Senior Bowl.
Mills is long, quick in the hips, and his five interceptions in 2019 highlight his ball skills. A bit of a sleeper in this corner class, Mills would be a quality addition for Cincinnati and is a great player to round things out for the Bengals in the 2021 NFL Draft.
