2021 NFL mock draft: Round 2, 52nd Overall

Rondale Moore. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Purdue. 2. player. 848

Five wide receivers went in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but there is still a ton of talent left on the board for the Chicago Bears heading into Day 2. While I would love for Elijah Moore to slip all the way to 52, I think that is highly unlikely. The next best thing would be Rondale Moore out of Purdue.

Moore is one of the most exciting playmakers in this entire draft but his draft stock has been hurt a bit by some injury issues in 2019 and his decision to opt-out of the 2020 season. If you look at what he did in 2018, however, you will see a guy that could be a big-play threat at the next level. He led the country in catches with 114 and brought in 12 touchdowns. He also added 200 yards and two touchdowns out of the backfield, showing his ability to impact an offense in multiple ways.

The Chicago Bears rely far too much on Allen Robinson, so adding a guy with the ability of Rondale Moore would give their receiver room an immediate jolt. He’s a nice piece to pair with their new franchise quarterback, Justin Fields.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 3, 84th Overall

Jackson Carman. Pick Analysis. 3. player. 879. Scouting Report. OT. Clemson

With the 84th pick of this seven-round 2021 mock draft, the Chicago Bears continue to load up on offensive talent by selecting offensive tackle, Jackson Carman. Carman started 27 games as the blindside protection for Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers. He is a gigantic tackle prospect with all of the physical tools to succeed at the next level.

While solid in pass protection, Carman really shines in the run game, as he seems to actively seek opportunities to put defenders in the dirt. That bully-ball style of play makes him a perfect fit in Chicago and he gives the team some insurance behind Leno and Ifedi, whose contracts are up after this season.
