LSU. LB. Jabril Cox. 817. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 51. player

In his lone season at LSU, Cox proved why he was so valuable during his time at North Dakota State. Showing his athleticism and nose for the football, Cox was all over the field playing wherever the LSU coaches needed him to line up.

At 6-foot-3, 232-pounds, Cox is a big linebacker that moves well around the box and cover. In 2020, Cox was able to accumulate 58 total tackles, one sack, and three interceptions. With NFL teams having bigger and better running backs and tight ends that can run routes and catch passes, having dynamic linebackers that can cover are important and Cox is just that.

Plugging Cox, or truthfully any dynamic linebacker, behind the Washington Football Team front-seven will take that team in a completely new direction. Cox could become what Devin White is for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, even if he isn’t the same caliber player.

The focus of this draft for the Washington Football Team should be on the offensive side of the ball, but adding a linebacker early should be seen as a priority. Adding Cox in the second round would likely see him being plugged in as an immediate starter for the NFC East division champions.
