2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 202nd Overall

Scouting Report. Michigan. Chris Evans. Pick Analysis. RB. 7. player. 811

With the loss of Giovani Bernard this offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals’ depth behind Joe Mixon becomes a bit concerning. Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams both played well in their limited roles last season but they haven’t shown much in terms of being able to replace the third-down ability of Bernard.

If the Bengals want to add a back with a little more ability in the passing game in the later rounds, Chris Evans should be their guy.

Evans never took the reigns as the lead back at Michigan but did end his career with some impressive numbers nonetheless. He averaged 5.6 yards per carry on 320 attempts and was effective catching the ball out of the backfield as well, hauling in 49 balls and averaging nearly 10 yards per catch.

Those high per touch averages come from his ability to make the first man miss with impressive short-area quickness and vision. Those types of traits would make for a nice get this late on Day-3.

Boise State. Avery Williams. 8. player. 895. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB/ST/RB/WR

With the final pick of this Cincinnati Bengals 2021 seven-round mock draft, I have them finding a new return man in former Boise State special teams ace, Avery Williams.

dark. Next. Final first-round mock draft

Williams had truly shocking production as a return man for Boise in his four years with the school, as he had nine total returns for touchdowns between punts and kickoffs in his career. On top of that, Williams blocked five kicks! He was born to affect the game on special teams and would immediately fill that void left by the departure of Alex Erickson in free agency.
